Telesom Electric Company (TEC) was established in 2014 in Hargeisa, Somaliland, by Telesom, a Electricity company, to provide affordable and reliable electricity services in a country recovering from war. TEC is the leading electricity distributor and supplier in major cities of Somaliland. It aimed to address the lack of sufficient electricity services during that period.
